Okonomiyaki is one of the most popular Japanese foods around the world. You will be surprised how easily a delicious okonomiyaki can be made. There are only few ingredients needed:
Okonomiyaki flour 1 cup (100g) / Otafuku Okonomiyaki Flour 450g – Asian Frenzy
Okonomiyaki sauce/ OTAFUKU Okonomi Sauce 500ml Seasoning Sauce Animal Free – Asian Frenzy
Bonito flakes/ Kaneshichi Kastuo BONITO FLAKES pack 2.5gx5 – Asian Frenzy
Kewpie mayonnaise/ Mayonaise-Original Kewpie 1kg Thai – Asian Frenzy
Seafood or meat 150g
2 eggs
Cabbage 200g
Green onion 50g
Water 3/4 cup (160ml)
Now are 6 steps to cook your Okonomiyaki.
Step 1: Cut Cabbage, green onion, seafood or meat into thin strips.
Step 2: Mix Okonomiyaki flour, eggs, and water into a large bowl, until the flour is dissolved.
Step 3: Add Cabbage, green onion, seafood or meat into the bowl, mix all ingredients together. (Do not over mixing)
Step 4: Spread the batter into 15cm pan, cook for 5 to 6 minutes in medium-low heat (200 C)
Step 5: Flip the Okonomiyaki, cook for another 4 minutes.
Step 6: Place the Okonomiyaki into a plate, add bonito, Okonomiyaki sauce, Kewpie mayonnaise on the top.
